CNC Setup Operator, 2nd Shift
Cablecraft is seeking an experienced CNC Setup Operator to join the Radial Bearing team in New Haven, Indiana. This role sets up, operates and maintains CNC lathes, machining centers and mill drill machines to meet production targets and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up and operate CNC lathes, machining centers and mill drill machines.
- Perform machine offsets, adjustments and basic programming edits as needed.
- Diagnose mechanical or operational machine issues and make minor adjustments and repairs.
- Verify part quality using calipers, micrometers, gauges and other precision measuring tools.
- Maintain accurate documentation of setups, production output and quality checks.
- Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area.
Requirements
- Four years of CNC machine setup and operating experience.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics and work instructions.
- All required hand tools for the role.
- Ability to lift 40 pounds.
- Strong mechanical aptitude.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Compensation and benefits are consistent with the collective bargaining agreement.
Screw Machine Operator
Radial Bearing is seeking an experienced Screw Machine Operator for its Bethel, Connecticut manufacturing facility. This position sets up, operates, monitors and repairs multi-spindle screw machines while maintaining dimensional quality, documentation and production requirements.
Job Responsibilities
- Set up, operate and repair multi-spindle screw machines.
- Read and interpret blueprints and quality documents.
- Restock machinery with raw material and produce quality components using proper gauging.
- Maintain required quality documentation.
- Sharpen forms and shaves, and resharpen drills.
- Change gears and cams.
- Check parts for dimensions and proper finish against prints.
- Monitor machinery, detect malfunctions and make process adjustments as needed.
- Operate and maintain up to three machines during a typical production day.
- Work with maintenance, engineering and supervision to support quality and continual improvement.
Qualifications
- Previous screw machine experience.
- Experience in a production manufacturing environment.
- Excellent mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability.
- Self-directed and able to work with minimal supervision.
- High school diploma or GED.
- All required hand tools for the job.
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds.
